Passion for flying takes us to the early stages and development of the Spanish aeronautical industry. A history of great achievements and small failures always marked by two virtues —self-improvement and intuition— and a premise —research, known nowadays as R&D—. This exhibition is mainly made up by drawings from our own collection and IBERIA files and snapshots from our newspaper ABC and AENA.
The major milestones of Spanish aviation are used as a route map in a sample divided in four chapters. In La vida en el aire (Life In The Air) we discover the names and surnames of the first intrepid who conquered the sky. Más alto, más rápido, más lejos, … más cómodos (Higher, Faster, Farther… More Comfortable) take us into the golden age of aviation, when the first commercial flights begin. El lujo de volar (The Luxury Of Flying) let us witness how people traveled in the mid-twentieth century. Finally, El boom aéreo (Aerial Boom) take us to the beginning of the democratization of flying.
