DRAWING THE WORLD
29 MAY — 20 JUN 2015
Dibujamadrid arrives to the city for the fifth consecutive year during the months of May and June. After having drawn in El barrio de las Letras, Lavapiés and Conde Duque this year we plan to continue visiting other neighborhoods in the city: Gran Vía, Sol, Plaza Mayor, Ópera and La Latina.
Last year, Museo ABC and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) came together to carry out the program in Guatemala City and facilitate the exchange of artists and notebooks. The result: a collective exhibition of all the participants in Madrid and Guatemala. This year the program will also take place in Manila, Casablanca and Mexico City. This merger with the Cultural Center’s network dependent on AECID will allow us to meet other cartoonists of these countries and to present the next exhibition in more countries.
During all these years, great artists have participated in Dibujamadrid 16 and this year it will not be less. This edition artists will be: Puño, Raúl Arias, Antonia Santolaya and Enrique Flores, LPO, Alfredo, Jacobo Pérez Enciso, Mohamed Fariji (Morocco), Mark Lawrence Andrés (Philippines), Enrique Sañudo Paredes (Mexico). Likewise, we also count with the collaboration of Círculo de Bellas Artes, Innside Hotels Madrid Meliá and Patrimonio Nacional that will let us visit their fantastic spaces to draw.
