The Museo ABC has created an education program focused specifically on his senior students (60 years old or more). This initiative pretends to approach the students to gradually get used to the basic techniques and tools of drawing, and to enrich their imagination and develop new creative capacities.

This year the course is divided into two groups so the participants that have already studied Contemporary Drawing last year should now register to Group B. However, a new student can choose any of the two groups as they have different contents but the same level.

The course is divided into three terms of ten classes each:
In group A: Drawing I (The line), Drawing II (The plan) and Drawing III (The colour).
In group B: Drawing IV (Narration), Drawing V (Personal diary) and Drawing VI (Expanded drawing).

Classes will start with a theoretical introduction where the students will learn and experiment the different expressive possibilities of drawings. Every  lesson will be focused on a new concept proposed by the teacher and a formal analysis of an original drawing from the ABC Collection. The last minutes the students will have to do an exercise to practice what they just learnt.

TEACHER: JAVIER CHAVARRÍA DÍAZ (Madrid, 1966).
