SYMPHONOS’ 19

The Entorno Conde Duque Association organizes the fifth edition of Symphonos, the only festival in which cultural institutions of a neighborhood collaborate to offer a free artistic programme around a specific theme. On this occasion the festival is presented with the motto: Inspiring Young Art. 

The Museo ABC has joined Symphonos proposing three activities around music, art and illustration (fruit  of the collaboration with the near Conservatorio Profesional de Música Amaniel and La Escuela de Arte La Palma).

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3RD / 7 p. m.
Music and Fashion Walk: Enjoy a different way to visit an exhibition! The guided tour around the exhibition #FINAESTAMPA_ at the Muse ABC is interrupted by the performances of the students of the Professional Conservatory of Music Amaniel (the Wooden Wind Quartet).

THURSDAY, APRIL 4TH / 5 p. m. 
The Rhythm of Composition
Presentation of the music and drawing workshop: A workshop/meeting of music students of the Professional Conservatory of Music Amaniel and drawing students of the School of Art La Palma has been carried out, to work about the concept of composition applied to different disciplines. The starting point was an exercise proposed by the musician Luis Augusto da Fonseca and the art theorist María Cuevas, which has been developed for two months with the teachers Sol Bordas and Miguel Ángel De Frutos. The results of this research will be presented to the public in a joint session of the two centres at the Museo ABC.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6TH /  11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sonorous fauna
Artistic workshop for families+ classical music concert in the context of the exhibition Tales of the jungle by Antonio Santos.
On Saturday morning the participants (parents and children) are invited to join the workshops and concerts to draw and play music around the exhibition of the artist Antonio Santos at the Museo ABC. The exhibition presents his 33 reliefs on paper of animals in their different ecosystems. Therefore, the workshops and the “open concerts” will focus on the fauna of the planet.
