Conexiones is a program where artists linked to drawings are invited to develop a specific project for the Museum revealing the connections between two works chosen from the funds of Colección Banco Santander and Colección ABC. They face the challenge —based on their choice and with absolute creative freedom— to reveal the connections that give name to the project.

Drawing has been the basis of the work of Abigail Lazkoz. Her first works were linked to comics and illustrations and recently she has experimented with the possibilities of spreading drawings in the exhibition hall with absolute autonomy. She has become a pioneer in Spain in the so-called «expanded drawing».

Joan Miró, Ramón Gómez de la Serna and Abigail Lazkoz linked by a new personal connection: the gaze to the day-a-day world. On one hand, the artist has chosen a painting by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 – Palma de Mallorca, 1983) from Colección Banco Santander entitled Personnage and dated in 1973. On the other hand, we can see nine Greguerías by Ramón Gómez de la Serna (Madrid, 1888 – Buenos Aires, 1963) published in his weekly section in the Dairy ABC and the Magazine Blanco y Negro from 1930 to 1936. Abigail Lazkoz selected these works from the 314 Greguerías that gathers the Colección ABC.
