Ramón Gómez de la Serna (Madrid, 1888 – Buenos Aires, 1963), Ramón to his friends, undeniable example of  versatile genius. His life and work shows the creative fertility of an extraordinary intellectual who had an agile mind combined with a tireless work.

From 1930 to 1935, Ramón Gómez de la Serna published for the magazine Blanco y Negro a series of illustrated «Greguerías» in a section that changed its title from Cifras de París to Cifras de Alemania, Cifras de ahora, Greguerías ilustradas or Greguerías. Texts were accompanied by drawings, also signed by Ramón. That is why these series are an exceptional collection withing the large ramonian work.

The Museo ABC is home to 314 original drawings of Ramón Gómez de la Serna and 100 have been selected for this exhibition. The drawings are shown in a chronological order attended to the publication date in the magazine Blanco y Negro but this timeline hasn’t been considered in a rigid way, which would be far from the ramonian spirit against the order and the static, so the exhibition’s itinerary is up to the visitor.
