#FINAESTAMPA

illustration and fashion

This book, designed by Cano Estudio, confirms that this is a glorious time for fashion illustration. The catalogue includes a critic essay by the curator, Jesús Cano, where he synthesizes a precise moment, that of fashion illustration in the second half of the 21st century, through aesthetic and technical works that are being created during this time. In addition, the catalogue includes the biographies and highlights of twenty-two contemporary masters of this discipline. These authors fill the pages and headers of magazines. But it is in another ecosystem where they have resonated most: the social networks. Especially in Instagram. The ‘likes’ are making them  universal. The book is an x-ray of a discipline, which, sinces its origins, has been a reflection of society.

In the book #FINAESTAMPA  the reader will enjoy more than 150 drawings of the artists Amelie Hegardt, Aurore de la Morinerie, Blair Breitenstein, Cecilia Carlstedt, David Downton, François Berthoud, Gill Button, Helen Bullock, Hiroshi Tanabe, Inés Maestre, Jason Brooks, Jean-Philippe Delhomme, Jordi Labanda, Jowy Maasdamme, Laura Gulshani, Mats Gustafson, Ricardo Fumanal, Richard Haines, Richard Kilroy, Rosie McGuinness, Tanya Ling and Unskilled Worker. A selection that is completed by a dozen pieces of the best drawings in the Colección ABC, from the illustrations by the pioneer Narciso Méndez Bringa, to the artist atc (Ángeles Torner Cervera) or the images of the iconic new woman by Roberto Martínez Baldrich.

A ‘must’ for the fans of fashion and illustration.
