JAVIER PAGOLA ON PAPER
The catalogue of the exhibition Yo-Tú. Javier Pagola en papel [Me-You. Javier Pagola on Paper] gathers the graphic work of the artist Javier Pagola (San Sebastian, 1955). An author whose main creative weapon is drawing and who invites us to his world inhabited with strange characters.
The text is a thorough study of his artistic career. It includes an essay written by Laura Revuelta, Chief Editor of ABC Cultural and curator of the exhibition, entitled The great circus of the world according to Javier Pagola. In addition, Ángel Guache wrote an amusing song, Ode to Pagola, for this publication which he has later recorded on a disc. The book is completed with a text by the writer Andrés Trapiello, who worked with Pagola forty years ago and who shares a special friendship with the artist ever since.
The catalogue includes a biography of Javier Pagola and the reproduction of the almost 200 works displayed in the exhibition of the Museo ABC. The edition of the book is a delicate publication with a cover on fabric.
