The exhibition Alfredo. La ventana de atrás. Desmemorias de un dibujante [The backyard window. «Dis-memoirs» of a draughtsman], curated by Mauricio d’Ors, shows 100 original drawings by the illustrator Alfredo González Sánchez (Agüeria, Asturias, 1933) as a way of expressing his memories —which are now published by treseditores—. This immense and emotional work, carried out during the last two years, shows the professional and personal life path of Alfredo since his childhood in the Asturian lands, through his years in a Dominican seminary and his beginnings in the advertising world as illustrator, until nowadays. The show includes his trips in search of cities and landscapes to draw, and the work specifically shows the devotion of Alfredo for his chosen and adopted city: Madrid. The exhibition groups caricatures of his family, friends and colleagues, but also personal photographs and more than 30 of his published books.
