Ramón Gómez de la Serna (Madrid, 1988 – Buenos Aires, 1963), Ramón for his friends, is an unquestionable example of the creative genious. He represented one generation of artists. His life and work show the creative fertility of a magnificent intellectual made of agile thinking and endless work.

From 1930 to 1935, Ramón Gómez de la Serna published in Blanco y Negro magazine a series of gregueríasarticles entitled Cifras de París, Cifras de Alemania, Cifras de ahora, Greguerías ilustradas  and Greguerías. These texts were accompanied by drawings (also signed by the author) which make these series an extraordinary combination of Ramón’s artwork and writing.

The Museo ABC preserves 314 original drawings by the hand of Ramón Gómez de la Serna; and 100 have been selected for this exhibition. They are exhibited following their publication date in Blanco y Negro magazine but the visitor should not follow a rigid timeline, he is invited to create his own itinerary through the exhibition.
