This exhibition gathers three voices of the current French illustration and their universes.
The first voice is François Roca’s. He shows the original drawings (oils on paper) of his recent books: Anya y Tigre Blanco and La hija del samurái, both written by Fred Bernard.
The second author is Éric Puybaret, awarded with the Illustration Prize in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 1999. He shows the acrylic paints on oil created for the books Los islotes de Pedestal and Los zancos rojos.
Finally, we have chosen a younger voice whose popularity is growing fastly: Justine Brax. Her singular and optimistic universe is a reflect of her years in Africa. She presents Rudyard Kipling’s jungle, the stories of Mowgli on collages and acrylic paints in the álbum Sucedió así. Cuentos. As well as a selection of illustrations for the book Hijo de dragones, written by Sébastien Perez.
Three universes inspirated by other famous universes and recreated by the personal hands of three remarkable French artists. Embrace the adventure of visiting the new worlds presented in this show.
